Prayers for the Mysteries of the Rosary
The Joyful Mysteries (Monday & Saturday)
The Annunciation:
In the silence of Nazareth, a young girl hears the voice of an angel and says “yes.” In her humility, God finds a dwelling place.
Prayer: Lord, grant me a heart like Mary’s — still enough to hear You, and brave enough to say yes to Your will, even when I don’t understand.
The Visitation:
Mary, newly pregnant, travels far to serve Elizabeth. Her joy overflows in song.
Prayer: Teach me, Lord, to bring Your presence wherever I go — to serve with joy and speak words that make others leap in hope.
The Nativity:
In the darkness of night, the Light is born. God becomes small, vulnerable, and poor.
Prayer: Let me find You, Jesus, not in grandeur, but in the quiet, broken places — in the manger of my heart.
The Presentation in the Temple:
The old man Simeon sees the child and knows: this is salvation. He is ready to die, for his eyes have seen the promise.
Prayer: Jesus, help me live with eyes that see Your presence and a soul always ready to welcome You.
The Finding of Jesus in the Temple:
Anxiously searching, Mary and Joseph find Jesus in His Father’s house, speaking truth with wisdom beyond His years.
Prayer: When I feel I’ve lost You, Lord, remind me to seek You — in Scripture, in silence, in the temple of my soul.
The Luminous Mysteries (Thursday)
The Baptism in the Jordan:
As the waters pour over Him, the heavens open — and the Father speaks: “You are my beloved.”
Prayer: Let me never forget, Lord, that I am Your beloved child. Wash me again in the
waters of Your grace.
The Wedding at Cana:
At a wedding feast, the wine runs dry — but Mary sees and Jesus responds. Water becomes wine.
Prayer: In the dry places of my life, Lord, work Your quiet miracles. Help me trust Your timing and obey Your voice.
The Proclamation of the Kingdom:
Jesus walks among the people, healing, forgiving, proclaiming the nearness of God’s Kingdom.
Prayer: Give me a heart that listens to Your voice, Lord — and feet that follow You into the suffering and the hopeful.
The Transfiguration:
On the mountain, light floods the darkness. Jesus stands in glory. The voice of the Father breaks through again.
Prayer: Let me behold You, Lord — even for a moment — and be changed by Your beauty and truth.
The Institution of the Eucharist:
“This is my Body… this is my Blood.” In bread and wine, God remains with us.
Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, for this gift beyond understanding. Feed me with Your life. Make me a living tabernacle of Your love.
The Sorrowful Mysteries (Tuesday & Friday)
The Agony in the Garden:
Alone, Jesus trembles. His soul is sorrowful. Yet He says, “Not my will, but Yours.”
Prayer: Lord, in my anguish, teach me to trust. Let Your will be done in my fears and my surrender.
The Scourging at the Pillar:
Whips tear flesh. Each stripe is endured for love — for our healing.
Prayer: Jesus, by Your wounds, make me whole. Let me never forget the cost of my salvation.
The Crowning with Thorns:
They mock Him with a crown of pain. He accepts it — the King of Mercy, humiliated for us.
Prayer: Lord, when pride tempts me, crown me with humility. Let me honor You in all my thoughts.
The Carrying of the Cross:
Each step is agony, yet He keeps walking. He falls — and rises again, for love.
Prayer: Help me carry the crosses of my life, Jesus. And when I fall, lift me in Your mercy.
The Crucifixion:
Nails pierce. The sky darkens. He speaks forgiveness, even from the Cross.
Prayer: Jesus, remember me when You come into Your Kingdom. May I never forget that Your love held You there.
The Glorious Mysteries (Wednesday & Sunday)
The Resurrection:
The stone is rolled away. Death has been defeated. Christ is alive.
Prayer: Let the light of Your resurrection rise in me, Lord. Give me hope that no darkness can destroy.
The Ascension:
He rises to Heaven, blessing them. But He does not leave them — His promise remains.
Prayer: Jesus, lift my eyes to Heaven. Help me live with hope and longing for Your return.
The Descent of the Holy Spirit:
Tongues of fire descend. Fear becomes courage. The Church is born.
Prayer: Come, Holy Spirit. Set my heart ablaze. Speak through me and live in me.
The Assumption of Mary:
The Queen is lifted, body and soul, into Heaven. The promise of resurrection fulfilled.
Prayer: Mary, help me walk the path of grace. Lead me safely to where you are, in the arms of your Son.
The Coronation of Mary:
She is crowned in glory, the humble handmaid now Queen of Heaven.
Prayer: Queen of the Rosary, pray for me. Teach me to serve as you did, that I may one day share in your joy
